On January 28th, the ISA Calgary Section had a technical Meet Up on Rotating Machinery Condition Monitoring. Over fifty ISA Members and guests came and listened to presenters Jose Chong and Jay Clarke at the Winston Golf Club.
Their presentation combined historical foundations of condition monitoring, detailing vibration instrumentation fundamentals and data migration in the digital age. Detailed sensor selection for applications to various monitoring strategies was also discussed. The speakers talked about components of condition monitoring programs which including analysis and trending functions. Also included in this presentation was an overview of current challenges and solutions in the integration of condition monitoring into the digitization era concepts of big data, analytics and IIOT. First quartile reliability condition monitoring strategies was also reviewed.
