On November 7th, the ISA Calgary board help fund the Foundations for the Future Charter Academy grade four class with two Bristlebot Robotics Kits.
There are 26 students in the class, from a variety of socio-economic and cultural backgrounds. The teacher Ms. Petley’s goal was to give her students opportunities to engage in maker spaces, where they can use their skills to be creative and innovative.
Through these kits, students learned how to connect motors to batteries and create diverse creatures.
This is one of ISA’s Goal “Advocacy” -“Science, Technology, Engineering and Math” (STEM) or secondary education ages 7 to 17 involved in “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology.”
