Squeezing Oil & Gas out of Rock, Shale and Sand – the history of Alberta Energy and an Overview of Industry
Presented by Blaine Barnes
The history of oil and gas in Alberta is rich, and even humorous at times. We’ll explore where Alberta energy began, and where we’re at as we enter this new decade. Alberta-based ISA members & automation professionals are often employed in the energy sector, and for those involved in natural gas industries, you’ll learn a bit about oil sands and conventional oil production. For those involved in heavy oil, you’ll learn a bit about natural gas production. The presentation will include interactive polls and prizes.
